Memorial Fundraiser

Assalaamu Alaikum

On Saturday 25th June 2022 Ibrahim Jules (Simon)  returned to his Lord.

"To Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return"

Mrs Saimah Khaliq Jules , in loving memory of her beloved husband, Ibrahim, would like to honour his memory for continuous reward for him by constructing two charitable projects in The Gambia (East Africa)
• A water well - providing clean drinking and ablution water for the community
• A place of Worship (Masjid), which will be used as quran memorisation school during non prayer time

The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “ Providing water”’. [Abu Dawud]

Imagine this - every single time the clean water you donated towards saves someone’s life, it is as if you have saved all of mankind!

Allah says in the Qur’an, ‘And whoever saves one [a life] - it is as if he had saved all of mankind’. (Qur’an, 5:32) 

To all our families, friends and colleagues that would like to bring flowers and kindness of condolences, could we humbly ask for your generosity to go towards the above projects that will serve to help Ibrahim, help others and help yourself too. 

• Our target is £8,000 for the masjid and water well
• If we can achieve £10,300, we can add a solar system to provide lighting and cooling in the masjid, along with a ablution (wudu) area

What better way to remember the deceased, then by helping the living.
